The Pineal Gland, Our Spiritual Third Eye

The Pineal Gland or the "third eye" is a small endocrine gland in the vertebrate brain. It produces melatonin, a hormone that affects our wake/sleep patterns and also Dimethyltryptamine, (DMT) which I’ll explain a bit more about later. An amazing fact is that the interior of the Pineal gland actually contains rods and cones just like our eyes! So somehow when ancient man described this gland as being the mind’s eye, they actually knew what they were talking about!

The pineal gland is shaped like a tiny pine cone, hence its name. The pine cone is actually an important symbol used throughout history to symbolize the pineal gland as the spiritual center point where all of the energies come together. The Hindu goddess Shiva has the pinecone shaped head and the third eye which is still used today to symbolize the pineal gland. Buddhists all throughout history have shaped their hair into the pinecone shape to pay honor to the pineal gland’s powers.  Even the Pope himself has a pinecone carved into the handle of his staff.

            Scientists has finally been able to study how the Pineal gland is activated by looking at how light strikes your retina and hits a little nerve system which transitions the light to the pineal gland. When lights go off it signals your pineal gland to release melatonin and small amounts of DMT to produce our dream state. DMT is found in South American Shamanic potions such as Yopo and Ayahuasca. Studies show it can produce journeys to paranormal realms, change our perception of time and space, and provide the user with mystical experiences with spiritual beings. 

            The big secret is that contained inside of the Pineal gland is water, this is important because scientists are starting to see a calcification of this gland in people once they reach adulthood primarily due to high fluoride levels in our water along with other factors in our diets. In fact most people have a chunk of calcium in the center of our brain where the Pineal gland is that actually shows up on X rays. Therefore our ability to utilize it for its true spiritual potential is being restricted.
